Information Technology Planning

Your information technology is the heart of your organization - without it you're probably out of business. A good plan is the best hedge against technology failure, and we're here to help. We look at your your network, your computers, printers, copiers, phone systems, and your budget, and help you put together some plans, short term and long term.

Hardware Acquisition and Maintenance

Nonprofits can realize significant savings by acquiring IT hardware through donations, but typically the hardware is old and outdated, possibly even broken. Another option is to look at refurbished and/or off-lease equipment; Deerfield Technologies works with a number of system refurbishers and brokers to acquire excellent condition equipment, and we stand behind this equipment with a warranty tailored to your needs. For your existing equipment we offer maintenance and repair services, and we have loaner equipment in case you need it.

Network Design and Monitoring

Even a small network can be difficult to set up if you haven't done it before. And yet the benefits - file sharing, printer sharing, automated data backup, content filtering, centralized firewall and malware protection - are desirable to even the smallest organizations. Once you have a network, keeping it up and running is critical. Deerfield Technologies monitors your network remotely and we can often respond to and correct problems before you even know they exist. We do remote desktop support, and schedule major updates and changes to occur during your off hours to minimize downtime.

Software Acquisition and Technical Support

The software you use to manage your data is at least as important as the hardware it runs on, and frequently costs substantially more. We'll help you analyse your needs, research and test the available solutions, and find the best price. Then we'll do the installation and provide you with ongoing technical support.

Web Sites

We do web site design, hosting, and updates; static page sites, blogs, Google Apps Sites, and Joomla! CMS installs. We'll update your content, or if you prefer to update it we'll provide the training and support. Use your host or use ours. No site is too small, and so far no site has been too big. We partner with independent designers and programmers to bring you creative, attractive ideas and turn them in to vibrant destinations on the internet. Finally, we'll get you listed on the major search engines so people can find you easily.
